onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to join our Product Analysis Lab (PAL). In this hands-on role, you’ll work with a diverse range of onsemi products and collaborate with a team of over 20 passionate engineers and technicians dedicated to delivering “best in class” analytical services and reports.
This position requires a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving through electrical characterization, fault localization, and the application of advanced analytical tools. We value teamwork, respect, and continuous growth, and we strive for excellence in everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis on customer returns and internal failures from qualification, design debug, and other evaluations.
- Isolate failure mechanisms across a broad spectrum of product lines, including complex Image Sensors, ASICs, Analog, Mixed Signal, Digital Logic, SiC, and Smart Discretes.
- Analyze background data such as ATE logs, X-Ray, and SAT results; characterize failure modes using semiconductor parameter analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic testers, application boards, and other bench equipment.
