Bring projects to life by managing client relationships, driving project execution, and delivering data-driven insights and technical solutions that advance philanthropic goals.
Expected Outcomes
Project Leadership & Execution
- Deliver high-quality project outcomes on time and within budget, aligned with client expectations and Grantbook standards.
- Draft, submit, and present clear, professional deliverables such as kick-off decks, assessment reports, recommendations, and project summaries.
- Translate complex information into simple frameworks, analogies, and actionable next steps that guide client decision-making.
- Plan and facilitate effective workshops, ensuring client participation leads to well-informed decisions.
- Synthesize and distill data trends across client information and functional areas to identify root causes and opportunities.
- Make recommendations informed by good grantmaking practices, peer benchmarks, and system constraints.
Strategic Problem-Solving & Risk Management
- Identify risks and complexities early in the project life-cyle.
- Process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Bring structure and clarity from ambiguity and chaos
- Adapt to new information or client contexts, pivoting project activities to stay aligned with goals.
- Review project goals against changing environments to confirm direction and ensure objectives remain relevant.
Client Relationship Management
- Build lasting client relationships based on trust, humility, and effective communication.
- Maintain strong alignment with client context by actively listening and tailoring recommendations to their environment.
- Identify new opportunities for Grantbook to provide value and ongoing support.
Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to institutional knowledge by documenting lessons learned and re-usable tools/templates.
- Share insights with colleagues to improve Grantbook’s processes, methodologies, and technical approaches.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in philanthropic technology through active collaboration internally and with clients.

Skills & Qualifications
- Required
- Previous experience in nonprofit, philanthropic consulting or technology services is an asset.
- Experience implementing and/or administrering an organization operational system.
- Experience working with data, systems, or grants management tools such as Salesforce, Fluxx, or other GMS platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical insights.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, manage projects, and collaborate across functional teams.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort navigating ambiguity in client projects.
- Preferred
- Familiarity with CRM, grants management systems, or philanthropic technology platforms.
- Exposure to data analysis, cleansing, or migration projects.
