Job Description:

CEDA is seeking a reliable and hardworking Facilities Labourer to join our team. Based at our office in Fort McMurray, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional facility interior, while also caring for the surrounding grounds, including lawn care and snow removal. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in various weather conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning of common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks as required including, changing light bulbs, or making minor repairs to walls and surfaces.
  • Assist with minor repairs and maintenance when required
  • Operate a variety of tools and light machinery to complete tasks such as roads grounds maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal. 
  • Shovel snow from sidewalks, entryways, and emergency exit during winter months.

Role Specifications

  • 1 to 3 years of janitorial or grounds maintenance experience is preferred
  • Ability to operate basic landscaping and snow removal equipment safely.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and establish priorities and work independently
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to produce a negative result for drug & alcohol test
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license is required
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
