The Maryland Food Bank (MFB) is a nonprofit, anti-hunger organization whose mission is to feed people, strengthen communities, and end hunger for more Marylanders. MFB does this work by expanding access to nutritious food while also seeking to eliminate the root causes of hunger.
MFB’s distributes food through a statewide network of community-based organizations from Maryland’s western mountains to its Eastern Shore. Last year, the Maryland Food Bank distributed enough food to provide the equivalent of more than 41 million meals, or about 114,000 meals every day. This healthy food supports children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families.
MFB works to end hunger for more Marylanders by offering job training programs, access to supportive services and benefits, and by advocating to change to the laws, policies, and practices that create food insecurity for more than 1 in 3 Marylanders.

About the position:
The Regional Program Coordinator (RPC) supports one region of Maryland by serving as the main contact for partner organizations. This role handles partner communications, assists with onboarding and compliance site visits, and coordinates applications and inspections. The coordinator schedules meetings and field visits, maintains accurate partner data and reports, and helps plan regional partner events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive customer service to partner agencies by addressing questions, resolving issues, and escalating concerns when appropriate.
- Build strong partner relationships through professional, proactive, and timely communication.
- Manage new partner inquiries and onboarding, including responding to partnership questions, tracking applications, reviewing files, scheduling site visits, and monitoring training completion.
- Support compliance by maintaining a site inspection calendar, coordinating and conducting inspections, assisting with required documentation, and ensuring partner files are complete and audit ready.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, hosting, and follow-up for Regional Gatherings, attending all in-person meetings across the assigned region.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on support tasks and customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word) with strong skills in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer service–oriented approach.
- Reliable means of travel to partner sites across the region.
Work environment:
- This role will work on a hybrid schedule, with on-site or field work required at least 3 days per week. The position also involves frequent off-site visits each month to partner sites and regional events.
Pay range:
- $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
