Job Description:The Director of Finance, Operations Support plays a critical role in supporting financial performance and leadership development across Auberge Resorts Collection’s managed hotels and resorts. Serving as an interim Director of Finance, this role provides essential operational support, ensures strong financial controls, and drives best practices across properties. The position also focuses on onboarding and mentoring finance leaders, strengthening policies and procedures, and supporting openings, transitions, strategic projects, and talent development initiatives.
Business Continuity:
Serve as interim Director of Finance during property-level vacancies, ensuring continuity of leadership, financial reporting, and operational controls.
Oversee financial operations during interim assignments, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, cash flow management, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with tax and accounting regulations (US GAAP/IFRS).
Review management agreements and deal structures to ensure compliance with financial and contractual provisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, finance teams, owners, and stakeholders to influence key business decisions.
Mentor, coach, and support new Directors of Finance, providing ongoing guidance until leadership stabilizes.
Business Process Leader:
Lead the implementation of new or revised property accounting initiatives.
Identify, share, and implement best practices across properties to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Collaborate with the Finance Operations Leadership to develop and implement programs to strengthen the pipeline of finance talent, including Assistant Directors of Finance.
Support property-level openings and transitions, ensuring alignment of processes, procedures, and controls as needed.
Identify training needs and provide development opportunities for property finance leaders in areas such as forecasting, financial management, and owner relations.
Partner with internal audit and Home Office finance leaders to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Champion business ethics, integrity, and associate engagement across all levels of finance operations.

Summary of Activities:
- Financial Operations & Performance
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance.
Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and create new revenue streams.
Manage capital expenditure budgets, debt compliance, and financial risk management.
Talent Management
Onboard, coach, and mentor new Directors of Finance.
Develop Assistant Directors of Finance through structured training and collaboration.
Controls & Risk
Review and assess internal controls at each property.
Partner with the Sr. Director of Internal Audit to address risks and ensure findings are transitioned to new leadership.
Openings & Transitions
Collaborate with the opening and transition teams to implement financial processes and systems.
Support on-property training to ensure operational readiness.
Create a pipeline of future finance leaders across the collection.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years as a hotel Director of Finance or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting systems, USALI, and management agreements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proven ability to lead and influence diverse teams and stakeholders
Experience with complex financial and operating agreements
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred:
Master’s degree or equivalent
Prior multi-property or corporate finance leadership experience
Experience with Adaptive Insights (or similar forecasting/budgeting systems)
Mixed-use (residential/HOA) accounting and budgeting experience
Skills & Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Ability to foster continuous learning, development, and performance improvement
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, tax, fiscal policies, and internal controls
Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, cost management, and cash flow oversight
Ability to balance competing priorities and deliver results under pressure
High ethical standards and the ability to serve as a role model in business conduct
