The Service Advisor I is responsible for providing customers technical service, support, and training. This position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting the efficient operation of the service department. Assists with the development, layout and presentation of service training materials. Responsible for creating, revising, and organizing all department documentation and acting as liaison for production equipment testing.

- Assists in the training of employees, customers and end-users in use and repair of products.

- Records accurate records of services provided to customers and dealers.
- Processes and records all information related to warranty and repair claims and makes recommendation on updates to procedures.
- Documents customer concerns, equipment issues, and service history. Assists with field requirements related to warranty claims and participates in product improvement efforts.
- Assists in documentation of service department procedures.
- Assists in coordinating product recall programs.
- Promote preventative maintenance services and equipment care best practices to customers and end users.
- Assist with troubleshooting and documenting issues at production test stand.

Requirements
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
- An Associate’s degree or two-year certificate in vocational technologies/industrial arts and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience in design and installation of hydraulics and control systems. Experience with truck mounted or mobile equipment is preferable.
- Ability to work with hand tools as required.
- Ability to navigate computer systems/databases and create spreadsheets and word documents.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, distinguish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
