Be the face of innovation in the field.
At TimberHP, we’re not just introducing a new insulation product — we’re pioneering a category. As the first company in North America to manufacture wood fiber insulation at scale, we’re reshaping how buildings are built and insulated. And we’re doing it with a people-first culture that values collaboration, curiosity, and impact.
We’re looking for a Field Education Specialist who thrives on connecting with people, educating professionals, and bringing insulation technical expertise to life in the field. This role is a critical bridge between our sales, marketing, and building science teams — delivering hands-on product education, jobsite demonstrations, and technical support that empowers our customers and drives adoption of TimberHP’s groundbreaking products.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging wood fiber insulation product knowledge workshops and dealer events that inspire confidence and excitement.
- Deliver jobsite demos and field calls to support contractors, specifiers, and installers.
- Serve as a trusted sales contact for regional and national installers — educating, troubleshooting, and building lasting relationships.
- Partner with the Director of Sales and outside sales team for strategic ride-alongs and customer outreach in the Mid-Atlantic Region
- Collaborate with the Director of Building Science to support R&D efforts and provide technical assistance.
- Respond to technical inquiries via phone and email, supporting both inside and outside sales teams.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to coordinate outreach activities and promotional efforts.
- Collect and share valuable field insights to inform product development and customer resource strategies.
What You Bring
- Deep understanding of building science and hands-on experience in the field.
- Construction and insulation knowledge.
- Strong presentation skills and a passion for educating others.
- Ability to interpret architectural specs and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with building forensics, code standards, and energy retrofit strategies.
- Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred Experience
- Building science credentials or equivalent technical training.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with building materials.
- Proven ability to network and build partnerships.
- Experience supporting marketing efforts and creating promotional content.
- Familiarity with regional weatherization initiatives and retrofit strategies.
Requirements
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds and climb stairs.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Comfortable with frequent travel across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Why TimberHP?
