You’ll be the go-to HR partner in the US, support to shape global, scalable HR/People processes. From payroll and benefits to employee relations and engagement, you’ll wear many hats, and you’ll have the support of an experienced international people team to help you succeed. This is the perfect role if you thrive in fast-moving environments, love solving problems, and want to shape HR in a growing, global company. This role will be based in Las Vegas and we will offer a relocation package to support your move if you're currently outside of Las Vegas.

What you’ll be driving:
HR Operations – Own and maintain employee policies and guidelines in line with US labor law, covering insurance, sick leave, salary benchmarking, overtime, grievances, and more.
People Experience – Lead onboarding and off-boarding, shape an attractive benefits package, and bring energy to engagement initiatives that connect and inspire our team.
Payroll & HRIS – Run payroll via Paylocity and keep HRIS systems (Personio & Paylocity) updated, accurate, and reliable.
Employee Benefits & Perks – Oversee benefits programs, manage vendors and brokers, and drive recognition programs that make Vay a rewarding place to work.
Collaboration & Culture – Partner with cross-functional teams in the US and EU (from Finance to Engineering) to strengthen culture, communication, and values across borders.
HR Analytics – Use data to uncover insights on turnover, engagement, and other key people metrics.
Performance & Development – Support managers and employees with performance reviews, development plans, and employee relations matters.
Project Leadership – Drive HR projects that move the needle, ensuring milestones and goals are hit.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
5+ years of progressive HR experience in fast-paced, tech start-ups
Solid knowledge of US employment law (with Nevada law expertise a big plus).
Experience handling workplace investigations.
Strong prioritisation skills, you can adapt quickly when things shift.
High emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills.
Experience fostering cultural awareness and collaboration across borders.

Nice to have:
Previous experience designing and implementing a benefits package.
