Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources team!  Black River Health has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist.  The HR Generalist oversees and manages the full spectrum of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefit administration, policy development, and credentialing for providers. Ensures HR processes are effectively aligned with organizational goals and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Acts as a strategic partner in supporting organizational culture and workforce development. The position available is:

 

  • Full-time, 80 hours per pay period, benefited. Day Shift, M-F

 

Essential Duties Include:

  • Maintains a comprehensive HR knowledge base to support department activities and resolve issues in the absence of the HR Director.
  • Fosters positive employee relations, mediating disputes, guiding policy adherence, and ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
  • Facilitates performance evaluations and supports leaders in conducting reviews, advising on employment issues, conflict resolution, and performance improvements
  • Conducts new hire orientations, covering policies, procedures, and benefits, and supports onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Administers employee benefits programs, addresses inquiries, leads open enrollment, and ensures accurate processing of benefits documentation.

  • Collaborates across HR and organizational departments to align HR practices, support compliance, update policies, and drive employee engagement initiatives.

 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two or more years using web-based electronic payroll systems preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and HRIS systems
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex HR issues
