CreditSights is currently seeking a Senior Credit Analyst, Insurance, based out of our New York office.

About the Team
CreditSights is a team of 100 analysts globally. We are looking for a candidate who is qualified, eager, and self-starting. The ideal candidate has been following the Insurance sector for at least six years and has demonstrated responsibility for investment views.
The candidate will be responsible for all tasks related to issuer and sector coverage, including building and maintaining financial models, monitoring multiple news sources for relevant stories and information, maintaining databases, interpreting and analyzing financial statements, contributing to fundamental analysis, writing research reports (earnings notes, news flow, credit events, and thematic research), and attending and participating in meetings with clients and bond issuers.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead US Insurance research in conducting fundamental credit analysis of the US Financials sector.
- Publish frequently on a portfolio of credits and market themes.
- Meet current and prospective clients to discuss and to market CreditSights’ research, in conjunction with our sales team.
- Collaborate with a market-leading Credit Strategy team on sector and market-level themes and views.
- Interact with colleagues in our New York, London and Singapore offices on research topics to establish common views on the market outlook and sectoral views.

We will consider any candidate who demonstrates a high level of competence and motivation, preference will be given to candidates possessing the following qualifications:
- At least six years of experience conducting credit research related to the US Insurance sector. A record of previous publications with relative value analysis is preferred.
- Strong financial modelling skills.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to write clearly, quickly and prolifically.
- A record of extensive issuer and investor interaction.
- Ability to multi-task, with a strong work ethic.
- Undergraduate / post graduate degree. CFA designation seen favorably.

FOR NEW YORK AND CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $180,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
