The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss is seeking Electrical Engineers to join its team. In this role, you will utilize engineering principles, education, and relevant technology to develop and support all new, improved, or additional features of products and their applications. Electrical Engineers may also assist sales, production, quality or procurement in technical matters.
The Electrical Engineer will report to the Director, Engineering and work daily out of our facility in Plymouth, MN. Work authorization support for this role cannot be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Accomplish the engineering design, development, modification or adaptation of products by conducting analysis and testing for the validation of products, solve functional, application, or production problems, improve the functional capabilities of existing products and redesign existing products to achieve new requirements, features, costs reduction, or updates due to obsolete components or to reach current “state of the art”.
- Independently apply engineering knowledge, experience, and education to complex or demanding engineering tasks. Organize, prioritize, and complete work assignments with quality and in a timely manner.
- Assist key stakeholders in sales, marketing, service, production, drafting, Design, procurement, supplier and operations personnel in technical matters and direction.
- Respond with commitment and sensitivity to satisfying the needs of internal and external customers.
- Maintain cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees. Facilitate cross-functional discussions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or related degree
- Possess 3-5 years of experience applying skills in managing PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) and PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies)
- Possess good knowledge of ECAD tools and mechanical CAD tools, experience with Altium Designer and NX are a plus
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as algebra, calculus, probability and statistics, geometry, and trigonometry
- Experience reading and understanding mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, PCB layout, and PCB drawings
- Basic knowledge of digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies, RF equipment, and current probes
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders
- Salary range for this role is $85K-$95K and is eligible to participate in Danfoss’s health and welfare plans such as medical, dental, vision and 401(k).
