As a Senior Environmental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

- Developing and implementing environmental strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize the company's environmental impact.
- Conducting environmental impact assessments and audits to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of environmental programs and initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations.
- Providing guidance and support to project teams on environmental issues and requirements.
- Staying updated on emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulations.
- Conducting training sessions to raise awareness and promote environmental best practices among employees.
- Preparing and submitting environmental reports and permit applications to regulatory agencies as required.
- Representing the company in environmental meetings, conferences, and industry events.
If you...
- Hold a bachelors degree, required; field of study in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is preferred. A masters degree is preferred.
- Have minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or 5+ years with a masters degree.
- Have strong knowledge of local and international environmental regulations and standards.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have a proven track record of successfully implementing environmental strategies and initiatives.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Are able to to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Are proficient in environmental management software, tools, and Microsoft Office products.
- Have a professional certification in environmental management (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional), is a plus.
- Are able to travel domestically up to 10%.
