- Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals
- Follow up on direct mail campaigns
- Set sales appointments with key decision makers at prospective client companies
- Establish rapport and develop long-term business relationships with clients over the course of an extended sales cycle
- Partner with clients to establish their needs
- Present clients with the most appropriate solutions
- Assemble proposals and reports for clients
- Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain all sales activity in the Tecta CRM program
- Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals
- Work with Service Manager to understand where/how to generate additional leads and referrals
- Coordinate with service manager to develop sales strategies and, when necessary, to close deals
- Manage the service projects won through your efforts.
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
- Demonstrated success in sales and a strong record of achievement and results.
- Ability to apply negotiation skills to a variety of sales situations.
- 3 years sales experience in roofing, construction or a related field preferred (Not required)
- Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone.
- Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust.
- Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to climb ladders and walk/inspect roofs.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel locally out of the office 80% of the time.
