Summary:

The position of IT Systems Technician will be responsible for supporting Doerfer Companies IT infrastructure and users. This position is based in Moline, IL at Williams, White & Company, but will support all Doerfer Companies’ locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining workstation and server performance, assisting end users, and ensuring the efficient operation of key business applications. 


Essential Functions:  

  1. Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows-based workstations and servers. 
  2. Manage and support core network infrastructure, including firewalls and related security/monitoring systems.
  3. Deliver responsive front-line IT support to internal users across all departments.
  4. Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 and on-premises Active Directory environments. 
  5. Provide technical assistance for Microsoft Office Suite and other essential applications. 
  6. Document IT systems, procedures, and support tickets. 
  7. Collaborate with team members and vendors to resolve complex issues
  8. Travel occasionally to remote company locations to provide on-site support.

Required:

  1. Need to have 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft-based IT systems.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration.
  3. Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems and hardware.
  4. Clear, effective communication and time management skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and operate independently or collaboratively.
  6. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 50 pounds.
  7. Willingness to work outside of regular office hours.
  8. Willingness to travel occasionally to support other company sites.
  9. Additional work hours as needed and required. 
  10. Additional Duties as assigned.

Preferred: 

  1. Experience supporting ERP systems. (Epicor a plus)
  2. Familiarity with CAD applications such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
