The Data Governance Lead will develop solutions leveraging Rheem’s enterprise data platform and internal policies and processes. The role will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data is collected, stored, processed, and analyzed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

The role will support the digital transformation journey of data and analytics team at Rheem. This exciting transformation will enable new cloud technologies that will transform the way we derive value from our data assets.

This position will serve our Enterprise Division located in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

This role will a key contributor to Rheem’s strategy and approach to

  • Data Governance Strategy & Execution
  • Data Quality Management
  • Data Lineage & Metadata Management
  • Data Cataloging
  • Business Process Mapping
  • Data Stewardship Development

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintain the data catalog and coordinate with business leaders to expand it where necessary.
  • Participation in activation of Data Governance tools such as Microsoft Purview and Databricks Unity Catalog.
  • Design, develop, and deploy data governance using Microsoft Purview platform.
  • Provide operational oversight across data management in product domain including leading data quality monitoring and data quality improvement programs. This includes data profiling, data cleaning, and data management using tools such as PySpark, Pandas, and Databricks.
  • Support data transformation by supporting development of data schemas for business tools such as Convergence.
  • Understand business needs to lead any data analytics and dashboarding efforts according to business needs to build clear actionable data products.
  • Collaborating with other teams, such as, architects, developers, and business analysts, to ensure data solutions meet their requirements.

Qualifications

  • An innovative solution-first spirit and an ability to think creatively.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data & Analytics Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data analytics, and supporting/leading data teams centric teams.
  • Strong experience in data management, data quality, data governance, and data analytics.
  • Should have experience in Databricks, PySpark, and Unity Catalog.
  • Strong understanding of business tools such as Microsoft Purview, Oracle EBS, Convergence, Databricks, and Azure.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data products
  • Understanding of MDM concepts and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Power BI Semantic data modeling and reporting.
  • Understanding of with various data formats like relational, json, parquet, streaming and others
  • Proficiency in SQL,T-SQL and Python/PySpark
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Aptitude to adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent business facing and internal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience in Convergence, Purview, and Databricks
  • Understanding of and experience in data governance for manufacturing industry
