The Opportunity:
The Account Support Manager oversees specific customer accounts, handling material shortages, orders, and delivery timelines. As the primary customer contact, the ASM provides support, answers inquiries, updates order status, and resolves issues. The role acts as a liaison between sales and operations, advising on product demand and trends. The ASM collaborates with internal teams, including Operations, Quality, Distribution, and Supply Chain, to ensure timely, cost-effective product delivery to both Contract and Retail customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and present scorecard/metrics/demand forecasts that track progress/challenges/future growth for dedicated accounts.
- Lead cross-functional meetings related to customer orders, prioritization, resolving customer issues.
- Assist the Account Project Manager with the control and execution to onboard new customers and/or new products.
- Act as a key conduit between Sales and Operations to assist in the further growth of MeriCal.
- Process customer Purchase/Sales Orders via EDI or manual entry in a timely manner, maintaining all critical date milestones to support on-time deliveries.
- Monitor and action activities associated with orders and inventory for the dedicated customers.
- Communicate effectively, order status, order requirements and order lifecycle to internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain related departments to ensure all customer demands, requirements and inventory needs are met.
- Address all customer issues in a timely manner by being the customer liaison to manufacturing, quality, shipping and accounts receivable.
- Monitor inventory levels, requirements and pending shipments.
- Collaborate with Planning to ensure production work orders are entered timely and correctly and collaborate with procurement for component inventory levels.
- Participate in daily and weekly operations meetings by being the face of the customer to ensure their order requirements (due dates, quantities, and order priorities are being met).
- Supports Sales by assisting in the building and maintaining of business relationships with current and future customers by providing prompt and accurate data.
- Respond to questions and complaints from customers in an expedited manner.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer service/sales role or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the vitamin industry and a manufacturing environment an essential.
- Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Superb problem-solving skills along with the ability to “think outside the box” to streamline tasks and processes necessary to support customer and production needs.
- Help drive continuous improvement with colleagues and across the organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in Sage, Batch Master, and/or MAS 500 Plus.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
