We're seeking an exceptional IT Manager to join our cause and drive operational IT support and security compliance across our rapidly growing infrastructure.

We're looking for a dynamic IT Manager to join a growing team and take charge of delivering top-notch support to an enthusiastic, fast-paced business. In this exciting role, you’ll be leading day-to-day IT support operations, managing escalations, and driving internal IT projects that directly impact business success. In addition to managing the IT functions of our scaling business c. 50 employees, you will be working closely with the CTO, monitor and improve the security posture of the business against our implementation of ISO27001.

You’ll work closely with a talented team, continuously improve processes, and make sure systems run like clockwork. How you will track your success:
- IT fault & issue resolution
- Managing budget requirements for hardware and software services
- Cyber security strategy and ISO audit compliance
What you will do (Key Accountabilities):
- IT Operations & Management: Oversee daily IT support, manage key business systems (e.g., Google, Hubspot, Xero), and handle IT procurement and office setups.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Lead the development and maintenance of a robust cybersecurity program. This includes ensuring compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials, managing information security risks, and preparing for annual audits. You'll also be responsible for developing a business continuity program, conducting regular security reviews, and maintaining security policies.
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage IT projects, with a strong focus on maintaining and improving the company's security posture.
- Team & Stakeholder Engagement: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues, train employees on information security, and facilitate security reviews with both clients and suppliers.
- Strategy & Reporting: Support the development and delivery of our IT & cyber security roadmap, monitor external security threats, and provide regular updates and recommendations to the management team and CTO.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential
The role would suit a self-starter who enjoys managing IT hardware and software systems, cyber security, business continuity, regulatory and legal requirements related to information technology with the ability to apply your experience in a SaaS environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification(s).
- 5+ years experience in an IT role
- Expertise in managing IT hardware lifecycles, software licensing, and enterprise applications
- Experience of ISO27001 or equivalent, implementation etc
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and data protection. Familiarity with security tools, incident response, and compliance frameworks
- Strong work ethic
- Open to criticism and other people's ideas

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to travel regularly to Birmingham to support the onboarding of new starters and periodic meetings.

- Experience of cloud native operations and cloud security (AWS or GCP)
