Role Overview:

Are you a seasoned infrastructure and cloud expert ready to shape the future of enterprise IT? We’re looking for a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based environments. This senior technical position offers the opportunity to influence strategic direction, drive cloud adoption, and act as a trusted advisor across the business. Reporting to the Infrastructure & Cloud Manager, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining hybrid infrastructure solutions with a focus on Microsoft services.
  • Leading technology adoption and integration projects, including testing and assurance.
  • Driving standardisation and optimisation of infrastructure builds while maintaining high security standards.
  • Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system reliability.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participating in audits, risk reviews, and change control processes.
  • Supporting business cases for IT solutions and estimating associated costs.
  • Providing out-of-hours support as part of the on-call rota.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members and promoting best practices across the organisation.

Your previous experience is likely to include….

  • Proven, hands-on experience in enterprise-level cloud and hosting environments.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and full lifecycle deployment.
  • Strong background in networking, virtualisation, server management, and operating systems.
  • Experience working within ITIL, PRINCE2, and ISO27001 frameworks.
  • Leading large cloud engagements, including infrastructure migration and application modernisation.
  • Strategic business acumen and the ability to align IT solutions with organisational goals.
  • Demonstrated success in project ownership and cross-team collaboration.

  • Be highly skilled in EntraID and identity/access management practices.

  • Understand and apply FINOPS principles to optimise cloud spend.
