Commercial Loan Processor:
The purpose of this position is to prepare, review, and monitor commercial loan origination and closing packets. Other responsibilities include ordering supportive documentation and verifications, maintaining and tracking collateral, preparing and monitoring annual review documentation, and maintaining member files while providing exceptional member service.
JOB DUTIES:
- Processing of commercial loans. Processing scope to include, but not limited to, obtaining, inputting, and verifying data in the appropriate Loan Origination system. Obtaining and uploading documentation and verifying the completion and accuracy of credit reports, employment, income, assets, taxes, insurances, collateral valuations, flood certifications, and appraisals.
- Coordinates and schedules closings with attorneys. Works with attorney to provide any documentation necessary for the closing including review of note and mortgage documents prepared by attorney as well as other closing documents. Ensures all required loan documents are obtained in a timely manner and loans are clear to close with attorney including ordering and reviewing of appraisals and flood determinations as well as review of insurance coverage required on the collateral securing the commercial loans. Prepares and reviews closing packets and funding worksheets and provides to lender or attorney as necessary prior to loan closing.
- Funding and post-closing processing. Completes loan funding and advances accurately and in accordance with funding worksheets and credit memos. Receives and scans closing packets and documents and completes a Post-Closing reviewing preparation. Ensures all required loan documents are accurate and complete and are imaged and ready for final review by Commercial Loan Reviewer. Follow-up on any loan corrections as needed and communicates with CLO if necessary to complete final file review.
- Files all UCC, lien, insurance and mortgage documentation required. Monitors, tracks, and follows up on collateral exceptions to ensure that UCC’s, liens, insurances and recorded mortgages have been perfected and are current. Administers the Collateral protection program for all commercial business loans including review of collateral status and tracking of coverage on that collateral. Communicates with members and their insurance agents as needed to acquire necessary coverage information and as necessary informs members and management when force placed insurance will be assessed and loan maintenance has occurred.
- Commercial Loan pipeline tracking. Monitors the commercial loan pipeline to ensure loans are processing timely. Communicates with CLOs or members to request any missing or required documents and uploads or inputs that information into the LOS to move the loan through the commercial loan process.
- Annual reviews – Prepare, mail, and monitor notifications to members requesting annual tax returns, personal financial statements, and any additional required documentation.
- Prepare the appropriate credit memorandum, recommend appropriate loan structure. Identify credit strengths, weaknesses and mitigating factors.
- Spread, review, and analyze financial statements for new loans, maturity extensions, restructures, and renewals. Conduct annual reviews and recommend appropriate risk ratings. Identify potential for credit losses and mitigating risk accordingly.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Experience:
Six month to two years of similar or related experience including time spent in similar or preparatory positions required.
Moderate level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
A high school degree or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

Physical Requirements:
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
