Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Active US Government Top Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with private and public cloud design considerations, virtualization, containers, high performance computing, data, security and config/policy automation.
  • Experience in building and designing a roadmap for software products or complex technical solutions and designing and implementing large-scale systems through the full lifecycle of the project.
  • Excellent communication, written, presentation, and problem solving skills.

About the job

The GPS Applied AI and Engineering (AAIE) team increases adoption velocity by creating reusable assets and solutions for differentiated built-for-mission capabilities. The team builds reusable assets in concert with Go-To-Market (GTM) and Professional Services Organization (PSO) to address repeatable customer use cases and maintains and sustains the solution ecosystem. The team accelerates Google Cloud consumption by serving as trusted advisors, technical experts, and catalysts for customer adoption of artificial intelligence.

As a Product Manager, you will lead the AI/ML roadmap for AI on Prem for public sector customers. This role is critical to providing Google’s leading 1P models in support of mission critical use cases and establishing a beachhead for increased Google adoption.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own the long-term product outlook and strategic roadmap for key AI capabilities for on-prem and air-gapped AI capabilities.
  • Lead and empower high-performing teams. Oversee cross-functional teams, including Customer Engineering, Professional Services, Product, Engineering, Sales, and sub-contractors, to develop deployable code, machine learning models, prescriptive architecture guidance, and implementation guides.
  • Drive end-to-end product development. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, take ownership of product roadmap, requirements, and ensure alignment with Go-to-Market strategy.
  • Build strong relationships and influence executive leadership and cross-functional partners across Google to secure resources, drive alignment, and achieve strategic product goals.
