POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Project Specialist will be responsible for managing DT product line projects, ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services, and fostering long-term customer relationships through exceptional solutions and support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct collaboration with the operations team to confirm that all applicable customer and order information is completed and per agreement.
- Serve as a single point of contact for clients on assigned projects for engineering, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of transformers
- Recommend and implement risk assessment and abatement plan to meet project budgets and targets
- Verify order documents and engage with the commercial team during project close-out.
- To maintain and reduce overdue payments by collaborating with the finance team and global business services.

- Validate project scope, schedule, and contract terms with customers, including technical and commercial elements.
- Provide input for the Production Schedule.
- Monitor project execution through kick-off meetings, scheduling, and communication with all parties. Drive risk and change management, solve problems, and improve customer relationships.
- Manage project scope changes and process change orders to ensure project alignment with customer requirements and company standards.
- Oversee project performance, verifying task completion, monitoring the project team, and managing project updates. Establish regular reports for stakeholders.
- Manage project closeout, including financial reconciliation, verification of equipment arrival, installation, start-up coordination, and training support. Capture lessons learned and documentation for future projects.
- Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Excellent project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering discipline preferred. PMP Certified or in process preferred.
- Understanding of transformers or electrical equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Understanding of the Supply Chain Management process and production workflows.
- Minimum 5 Years Experience in Electrical Substation/Transformer Project Management.
