Primary Purpose:
Provide marketing support to HCDE divisions through tradeshows, events, networking as well as establish relationships with members and potential members who utilize products and services offered by HCDE’s enterprise divisions and help grow business through membership recruitment, retention, training and onboarding.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in marketing/communications, client relations, public administration or related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to effectively utilize computers and software including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite and other Customer Relationship Manager software required by the division
- Ability to organize, prioritize, meet established deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) using proper English grammar
- Ability to speak in public and train members
Experience:
- Background in marketing/communications
- Familiarity with education and government agency structure and operating laws
- Familiarity with the operations of a purchasing cooperative
- Familiarity in public sector purchasing
- Experience with cooperative contracting preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as primary point of contact for Choice Partners and Records Management.
- Supervise three marketing coordinators.
- Represent HCDE in the field to members and potential members; promote HCDE through marketing efforts at conventions, conferences and other appropriate meetings that reach the HCDE client audience.
- Make follow-up marketing calls appropriate to assist with increasing CP membership and enhance usage of HCDE programs and services (to increase revenue).
- Provide support to CP consultants to ensure they have materials and information needed for field work and attend weekly meetings virtually.
- Present at conferences, facilitate trainings and seminars, exhibit at events/conferences; present and/or assist with Choice Partners member trainings and vendor orientation; work with vendors to develop marketing plans as necessary.
- Serve as primary liaison for vendor connections with HCDE-wide events.
- Serve as primary liaison for all marketing support for CP members and vendors as well as for Records Management.
- Oversee the ordering of all HCDE, CP and RM tradeshow equipment for conferences.
- Network with members and vendors at conferences and events to increase visibility of HCDE’s purchasing cooperative.
- Train new CP consultants in: how to represent CP to prospective/existing members; use of CRM; in-person site visits and exhibit procedures.
- Conduct weekly meetings with CP and Records Management directors and team members.
- Provide booth training for HCDE staff that attend conferences as exhibitors.
- Responsible for preparing all marketing materials for HCDE conferences; assists CP staff in selecting marketing materials for CP conferences;
- Proof/edit marketing material for CP and Records Management and approve prior to going to print.
- Oversee the production of CP monthly newsletter, press release, monthly podcasts and other digital media used for marketing.
- Assist MCE director with marketing strategies, projects and initiatives that support revenue goals for HCDE divisions.
- Improve HCDE, as well as divisions, visibility in locally, statewide and nationally.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain excellent public relations with all parties.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a neat and professional appearance that exemplifies confidence and professionalism.
