As the Insurance Coordinator supporting the Escrow/Insurance team, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative and organizational support and become part of our active and growing team. This position requires a detail-oriented, deadline-driven individual who can work individually, with members of other teams as well as with his/her own team to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 

Requirements

  • Manage and maintain the shared insurance inbox and incoming mail including sorting and forward mail/email.
  • Input and maintain data using our servicing system, SS&C PLM.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the insurance questions, coverage requirements and investor guidelines for your portfolio.
  • Conduct initial compliance check for incoming insurance certificates and policies.
  • Oversee the construction compliance portfolio by requesting certificates, invoices, and policies. Follow up with agents, borrowers, and management companies regarding renewals and audit requests. Collaborate with internal teams to complete compliance reviews.
  • Generate and maintain expiration reports for upcoming and overdue insurance renewals.
  • Provide support to the Insurance Analysts for ad hoc projects.

Expected Experience, Skills and Education:

  • High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in the business or finance areas; or insurance related industry designations with direct experience and demonstrated ability to perform the required tasks.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s insurance experience in multifamily loan administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agency and Lenders programs a plus.
  • Requires problem solving skills as well as the initiative to troubleshoot and find resolutions.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, written and oral, through all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess strong organization and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully schedule own workload to most efficiently meet multiple deadlines and prioritizing according to risk and urgency.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team while also capable of self-motivation and strong individual performance.
  • Providing premier customer service to investors, borrowers, agents and co-workers.
  • Demonstrate continued growth and development towards an Analyst role in the department.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
  • Requires high level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically regarding Outlook, Word and Excel.
