Job Description:
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, guests and employees of Ballantyne Corporate Park by patrolling and enforcing safety policies, conducting preventative inspections of the facilities and assisting with investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide superior security service to tenants, guests and employees of Ballantyne Corporate Park
- Promptly respond to any security requests
- Perform building checks, making sure exterior doors are secure; check parking lots, street lighting; report any deficiencies observed
- Allow building or suite access for approved contractors
- conduct vehicle patrols for unauthorized personnel on property, buildings, common areas, parking decks, and construction sites
- Contact police or fire departments when necessary
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Security
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
- Experience in field of physical security, law enforcement and military.
Key Attributes and Skills:
- superior customer service, report writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites to include Word, Outlook
- Valid NC or SC driver's license required
- Basic knowledge of CCTV
- Must be able to operate fire panels with the ability to enable/disable points and needs to have a good understanding of how fire systems work.
- Required availability to work evenings weekends and holidays (8 or 12 hour shifts).
