As a Supervisor 1 on the production floor, you are a pivotal role model responsible for training and mentoring and supporting leads, employees, working with the area manager, setting and evaluating team performance, and driving overall team success. Your day is spent first and foremost supporting your team and working closely with your area manager to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost performance. You provide support and development opportunities to your Leads and act as an escalation resource. You collaborate with your manager and are responsible for the waterfall communication to your team as well as planning work for your team.
Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee team ranging from 10-40 depending on seasonality. Reporting functions include leads and all functional operators necessary to drive business.
- Manage Trello cards to ensure efficient operation of production line, immediately adress issues, bottlenecks, and challenges, as well as collaborates with other supervisors to ensure overall production efficiency
- Engage in learning manufacturing processes, procedures and continuous improvement methods (i.e. LEAN)
- Recommend improvements regarding workflow, productivity, safety, employee development
- Think carefully and use common sense when dealing with problems and making decisions
- Actively participate in meetings and communications to the team and ETE leaders
- Verify and perform quality checks including units being processed and leveled up correctly
- Facilitate open communication regarding safety concerns within the team. Encourage team members to report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly. Address non- compliance promptly and partner with Human Resources for any disciplinary action
- Cascade communications from area manager and/or ETE leadership team to Leads and employees
- Champion company policies and procedures. Engage in the disciplinary process with the team when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Monitor the plan and performance of the overall team
- Resolve basic employee relations issues without needing to escalate to Mangaer or Human Resources
- Align with manager to drive performance feedback and review processes
- Collaborate with leaders with a positive perspective. Adjust to changes as rolled out. Support the innovation process
- Mentor Leads and role model ETE Reman Core Values
- Participate in candidate interviews as required
- Be seen and available to employees and Leads on the plant floor

Essential Functions:
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma, have regular reliable and predictable attendance.
- Sueprvise and delegate responsibilities. Possess prior experience as a Lead, or leading a team in a similar environment for 1 or more years.
- Effective oral communication skills as well as able to adapt communication to different styles. Bilingual experience is an asset
- Ability to work with your hands, tools (you must provide your own) and instruments. You will be working the line at times, get dirty, and may have to work with chemicals
- Utilize an ERP system in work area as required
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft 365- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook as well as additional systems (i.e. Paradox/Syteline)
- Able to lift 50 pounds, stand and work for 8+ hours a day
- Prioritize tasks, set objectives and understand details to maximize productivity and achieve objectives
- Self starter, able to work under pressure
- Willingness to participate and apply specific trainings to enhance your people leadership skills
