Job Summary:
An Inside Business Development Specialist focuses on growing the company's business, primarily through virtual interactions. This involves prospecting targeted accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and driving sales through phone, email, and online channels. You will be responsible for warm-calling contact leads within the targeted accounts, identifying their needs, and promoting our services within the target markets. You will be collaborating with our outside project development teams and providing the discovery call information to the appropriate local branch teams. It is a hybrid role, blending traditional sales and business development strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inside Business Development Specialist to join our team.
- Experience selling to industrial customers in manufacturing along with the ability to prospect and serve various industries.
- A basic understanding of warehousing and transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identifying potential clients through various online channels (internet, social media, etc.) and initiating contact to generate interest.
- Assist in identifying and acquiring new business opportunities.
- Qualifying contact leads to project scope and services alignment.
- Verifying the contact leads information for data accuracy.
- Updating the contact leads information in the CRM.
- Relationship Building:
- Developing rapport with new clients and nurturing existing client relationships through virtual communication (phone, email, video conferencing).
- Collaborating and communicating with the outside sales teams to prepare the handoff of documents and essential information required to complete customer transactions.
- Relationship Management:
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Ensure accurate, detailed information to internal and external partners.
- Working alongside internal departments and company personnel to follow standardized operating procedures.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identifying and resolving client issues and overcoming challenges.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about services.
- Adaptability:
- Adjusting to changing market conditions and client needs.
- Uses judgment to determine the most efficient order of activities to achieve established objectives and assigned deadlines.
- Training:
- Participating in the company’s Buyer Facilitator sales training program.
- Understand the marketing and sales process from prospecting to closing.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Comfortable using CRM systems, sales software, and other online tools.
- Documenting, tracking, and scheduling activities of interactions with customers and prospects in the CRM platform.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Communications or Marketing.
1-2 years of business development experience preferred.
Compensation:
$48,000-$58,000 with bonuses based on performance.
