We are seeking a results-driven Director of Optimization to lead strategic initiatives across our Distribution and Operations organization, with a focus on project management, lean manufacturing, and enterprise technology delivery. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative, high-quality software and process solutions that enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Director will serve as a trusted leader and strategic partner, ensuring technology initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with enterprise standards, while driving measurable improvements across distribution and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery strategy and execution for distribution and operations technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, regulatory mandates, and enterprise standards.
  • Oversee project portfolio management, applying lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Translate strategic business requirements into actionable technology roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Direct and manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of software solutions and operational improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery services, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment among business stakeholders, engineering, and operations leadership.
  • Monitor delivery performance, establish KPIs, and use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to adopt emerging technologies and practices that enhance scalability, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all initiatives adhere to governance frameworks, risk management policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience managing process improvement and project delivery within operations, distribution, or technology-driven environments.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale, complex software and operational initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Deep expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, hybrid approaches) and enterprise delivery frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application in distribution, operations, or supply chain contexts.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide outcomes.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and enterprise-scale data governance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory-driven environments and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving business and technology landscapes.
