Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company
The finance function of a major FinTech firm is no longer a back-office cost center but a core competitive advantage. At the heart of this capability is a pivotal, hybrid leader: the Finance Transformation and Automation Manager. This is the role of a strategic architect, responsible for designing, building, and operating the modern FinTech finance function initially focusing on our Embed partner ecosystem.
Sitting at the critical nexus of accounting, technology, data, and change leadership, your mandate is to contribute to an AI-first financial ecosystem. You will pioneer the use of intelligent automation and agentic AI to build a finance function that is not just efficient and compliant, but also predictive, autonomous, and a core driver of strategic insight. You will partner with Finance leaders to translate a high-level vision for a modernized finance function. This role is a strategic partner to the leadership, tasked with fundamentally redefining our financial operations to support exponential growth especially in our Embed programs.
Responsibilities:
- Architect Financial Data Systems starting with our Embed platform: Design, build, and govern the data architecture and pipelines that power our Embed Strategies. You will own the technology stack for the reporting ecosystem.
- Develop Automated Solutions: Use your expertise in data modeling, SQL, and dbt to build and deploy resilient data pipelines and agentic AI workflows.
- Automate Core Finance Processes: Specifically target and automate high-volume, complex financial processes, including transaction matching, revenue accounting, and reconciliations, to support our rapid growth.
Drive Data-Centric Transformation: Apply a process engineering mindset to re-imagine financial operations, using data and AI to reduce close times, enhance data integrity, and drive strategic business value.
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Finance Systems Mastery: 6+ years of hands-on experience architecting the data infrastructure that drives finance transformation. You have a proven track record of integrating a modern finance tech stack to create a unified data flow, with a clear focus on enabling AI-first automation. Your work moves beyond legacy RPA to build systems where intelligent agents are powered by the data pipelines you create.
Data Engineering & Pipeline Architecture
Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines (ETL/ELT). You are responsible for architecting the data backbone of our finance organization.
- Core Technical Skills: Hands-on mastery of SQL and dbt/paradime for data ingestion, transformation, and automation.
- Data Ecosystem Proficiency: Experience with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g.,Redshift).
- Data Quality & Consumption: A strong focus on data modeling, validation, and governance to ensure data integrity for downstream use in BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Analytic Process Automation (Alteryx).
- Process Engineering Mindset: A demonstrated ability to apply systematic process improvement methodologies. You will design and implement agentic workflows fueled by the high-quality data from your pipelines, fundamentally reinventing financial processes to dramatically reduce close times and enhance data reliability.
- Accounting Expertise: A solid understanding of the data requirements derived from accounting principles (e.g., ASC 606/IFRS 15), particularly within complex, high-volume SaaS or FinTech environments. This knowledge is crucial for translating business logic into accurate data models and pipeline transformations. A CPA is a plus.
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional change management skills and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. You must be an "empathetic translator" capable of communicating complex financial and technical AI concepts effectively to all stakeholders, from the C-suite to engineering teams.
