Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

The Accounting & Finance function is a critical pillar of our growth, and we are embarking on a foundational project to implement a next-generation, scalable financial ledger. This initiative is central to our ability to launch new products, automate our financial operations, and provide real-time insights that drive strategic decisions.

As a Senior Ledger Automation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in this transformation. Sitting at the intersection of accounting, data, and technology, you will be a key partner in implementing the new ledger system and automating the financial processes it supports. You will work hands-on with our new Ledger-as-a-Service (LaaS) platform, ensuring it meets the complex needs of our business. This is a unique opportunity to help build our future financial infrastructure from the ground up, moving beyond legacy systems to create a world-class, automated accounting ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Accounting, Engineering, and Product teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications for the new ledger implementation.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of the core ledger, including the Chart of Accounts, transaction workflows, and data models for our diverse financial products.
  • Develop and implement automated reconciliation processes, comparing ledger data against external sources like bank statements and payment processor reports to ensure financial integrity.
  • Use your data skills to query, analyze, and validate large datasets from the ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
  • Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into transaction flows, account balances, and the overall health of the ledger system.
  • Support the data migration process from legacy systems to the new ledger, ensuring a complete and accurate transition of our financial history.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the ledger system, providing support and training to the broader finance team.

We’d love to chat if you have:

Financial Systems Experience: 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role with hands-on involvement in financial systems implementation (e.g., ERP, accounting software, or ledger systems).

Strong Accounting Foundation: Solid understanding of core accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, immutability, and the structure of a Chart of Accounts. You understand the "why" behind the data.

Data Analysis & SQL: Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large, complex datasets. You are comfortable writing queries to investigate transactions, validate balances, and extract data for reporting.

Financial Process Automation: Demonstrated experience in automating financial processes, particularly transaction matching, data validation, and reconciliation.

Data Tooling Familiarity: Experience working with modern data stack tools. This includes:

  • Data Transformation: Familiarity with tools like dbt for building data models.
  • BI & Visualization: Experience creating reports and dashboards in tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Cloud Environments: Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Redshift or Snowflake.

Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
