We are seeking a welcoming and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Receptionist to join our team at Axiom Care. Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Receptionist will answer phones, greet residents, stakeholders and visitors, and coordinate with facility staff to move residents through a pre-determined schedule of intake events at facility.


Duties/Responsibilities

• Welcomes residents, stakeholders and visitors to the facility by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.

• Practice and uphold HIPAA, Confidentiality and 42 CFR Part 2 Federal Regulations.

• Answer incoming calls and keep an accurate log of all phone calls. Transfer calls to appropriate staff as necessary.

• Assists ill or distraught resident as necessary. Telephones transportation team or family members when necessary for transportation.

• Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.

• Participates in the facility emergency routine when required. Summons ambulance or EMS or assists other staff members as needed.

• Complete various clerical and reporting duties as necessary.

• Assist with resident intake process as needed, include property inventory, patient orientation, and EMR onboarding.

• Computer filing into the electronic medical records system.

• Promotes inclusion through Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill or distraught residents.

• Basic office skills such as typing and filing.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams), timekeeping software, and basic computer navigation.

• Type at least 30 words per minute.

• Good organizational skills.

• Active CPR and First Aid certification

• Negative TB Test results within the past 12 months

• Team player

• Ability to write professional correspondence and reports free from grammatical and spelling mistakes.

• Experience in working with Native American population preferred.

• Experiencing working with diverse population and socioeconomic backgrounds.
