JOB SUMMARY:
Loan Processing Coordinator is responsible for processing and closing of Commercial, Construction, Letter of Credit and HELOC loans in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. Works with Relationship Managers, Account Officers, and Underwriters to gather due diligence information required for credit file. Responsible for ensuring that loans are properly documented and that both supporting and contractual documentation is internally filed as required by Bank’s procedures, complies with state and federal laws, and protects the interest of the Bank and its Borrowers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews and understands credit approval conditions to determine documentation requirements to complete file
- Save all required loan and supporting documentation in credit files according to bank standards/policy
- Review entity documentation such as by-laws, operating agreements, articles of organization/incorporation to determine loan signers and authority
- Order/Review all other 3rd party reports, OFACs, title reports, UCC’s, Flood, Certificate of Status, CIP, etc.
- Knowledge of Preliminary Title Reports and endorsements/review and address any exception(s)
- Knowledge of escrow documents and requirements
- Accurately request appropriate insurance requirements and endorsements
- Order/Review loan documents to ensure they match with credit approval, all signatures, initials, and notary are properly complete
- Coordinate loan closings with Borrower, Loan Officers, Title/Escrow, Attorney and/or RM
- Calculates final payoffs and compiles accurate disbursement information to ensure the bank collects all required fees and the loan is funded correctly
- Ensures collateral is perfected/File UCCs according to UCC requirements
- Prepares Loan Boarding package/Closes and disburses loans in accordance with federal laws, Bank policy, regulations and approved loan commitment
- Responsible for 3rd party invoice processing/GL Transactions
- Responsible for post-funding tickler items - UCC Post-Searches, Title Policies, etc.
- Researches and corrects external & internal audit exceptions as directed
- Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and Federal and State banking laws and regulations
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Computer skills to include use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word) , Laser Pro and other programs as required.
- Previous experience with any bank mainframe systems such as Jack Henry, ITI, FIS/FCM
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to handle detail-oriented transactions and manage multiple loans at a time.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, dedication to teamwork, and enjoys working closely with others.
- Ability to interact with coworkers, follow directions and work rules, and accept constructive feedback.
Education/Licenses/Work Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Three to five years’ experience in banking/lending area preferred.
