Job Description:The Back of House Manager ensures the seamless execution of all administrative and operational activities related to the Stewarding and Room Service departments. This role focuses on behind-the-scenes operations, maintaining excellence in scheduling, inventory, compliance, and organizational efficiency. The Back of House Manager plays a critical part in upholding Faena’s standards of luxury service and operational excellence, without direct involvement in culinary preparation.
This full-time position has an annual salary of $85,000.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all administrative functions for Stewarding and In-Room Dining operations.
Manage department scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage and labor compliance across Room Service and Stewarding teams.
Support the Director of F&B and Stewarding leadership with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in back-of-house areas.
Coordinate internal communications between Room Service, Stewarding, Culinary (where relevant), and other departments.
Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing teams to curate and deliver exceptional food and beverage experiences for exclusive occasions while ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest expectations.
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for back-of-house service areas.
Assist with onboarding, training, and administrative tracking for Room Service Attendants and Stewarding team members.
Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of stewarding areas, storage rooms, and pantries.
Handle daily administrative reporting, including labor tracking, attendance logs, and maintenance work orders.
Liaise with Engineering and Housekeeping departments regarding BOH maintenance and cleanliness needs.
Support Room Service in amenity logistics, tray/trolley organization, and equipment readiness.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all administrative and personnel matters.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel or luxury hospitality back-of-house operations.
Strong administrative and organizational background.
Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to hotel food and beverage operations.
Proficiency with scheduling systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams with warmth, professionalism, and a service-minded spirit.
