Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will perform as our Human Resources Assistant.
Position Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resource Department. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the organization and execution of filing systems, recruitment, and other administrative tasks in the department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Required: High School/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent
- Preferred: Associates Degree in Business or an equivalent field.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Must be able to sign and abide by Company’s employee manual, confidentiality agreement and employment screenings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to quickly learn the organizations human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation by scanning all documents and filing them both digitally and physically.
- Responsible for promptly answering incoming calls with professionalism and directing the call to the appropriate personnel.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately to ensure the department is compliant.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department as needed.
- Attendance of career fairs to represent the organization, drive recruitment, and networking.
- Maintain and build professional relationships through networking events in person or online.
- Conduct and assist with job postings, job description reviewal, screening resumes, calling candidates for a prescreening call, scheduling interviews, paperwork, and onboarding.
- Must be able to attend events outside of working hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
