Job Summary:

Headquartered in Roseville, California, the Accounting Clerk reports to the VP of Finance and is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation of accounts, managing daily correspondence through the company’s accounting e-mail and various other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts payable invoices – including purchase orders, coding, data entry and voucher processing.
  • Preparing billing invoices and monthly customer statements – including business to business collections process.
  • Prepare and post deposits.
  • Assist in general ledger accounting.
  • Comply with Federal, State and Company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Responsible for interacting with outside vendors, internal managers and other employees in a professional manner.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years related accounting experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Able to utilize professional judgement in bringing non-routine matters to conclusion.
  • Ability to plan, organize and schedule own work.
  • Strong sense of urgency required with ability to multitask in a dynamic, demanding environment with high level of accuracy.
  • Works well with little supervision, receptive to feedback and training to improve employee’s ability to perform at increasing levels of independence.
  • Type at least 45 WPM.
  • Ability to be efficient and effective using all Microsoft Office programs with a strong ability in excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or AA Degree in Accounting strongly preferred 
  • Experience with QuickBooks  - Enterprise Desktop preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience within the real estate or appraisal management fields desired but not required.
