Job Summary

The Director of Clinical Services reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and assists Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Community Engagement Directors (CEDs) and Patient Access Representatives (PAR) in effective clinical care and implementation of the strategic priorities within the realm of APP driven wound care at Mendota Health. The Director of Clinical Services will also assist in creation of culture and community, support quality wound care to Mendota Health standards, and participate in appropriate clinical management across all markets.

Responsibilities

  • Champion adherence to Mendota Health clinical quality.
  • Manage provider adherence to clinical standards, providing mentorship and coaching as needed.
  • Collaborate to manage clinical performance and problem solve issues.
  • Identify and address clinical barriers to advanced treatment usage; communicate frequently with the Medical Director to address knowledge gaps, as well as individual APPs.
  • Deliver and present information to cross-functional teams as appropriate.
  • Provide oversight and supervision to a team of mobile providers in assigned markets.
  • Provide in-person clinical training for new APPs where appropriate.
  • Perform clinical duties up to 25% of the time.
  • Participate in and lead onboarding for new hire APPs.
  • Hold weekly or as needed 1:1s with all Mendota Health APPs.
  • Monitor and address clinical quality by reviewing clinical documentation of APPs on a regular cadence.
  • Participate in clinical management meetings and presentations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in clinical round tables, case review, and provider meetings.
  • Comply with all Mendota Health wound care guidelines and documentation requirements.
  • Create a culture that fosters quality, problem-solving accountability, and compassion.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to develop and drive clinical standards, reporting metrics, and quality measures.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop educational materials and clinical policies.
  • Maintain compliance with occupational health standards.
  • Perform audits on clinical documentation and intervening where necessary.
  • Shadow clinicians in the field as needed to determine quality.
  • Collaborate with Vice President of Operations to complete annual performance evaluations for APPs.
  • Assist with ensuring that APPs are compliant with all state and practice requirements.
  • Leadership
  • Communicate in a professional, positive, and appropriate manner with all stakeholders
  • Escalate concerns to the Vice President of Operations and/or Medical Director in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Consistently attend and participate in all leadership matters in a way that reflects values and mission of Mendota Health.
  • Attend 1:1 meetings with the Vice President of Operations and Medical Director.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services- Long Term Care to promote Provider adherence to clinical standards, providing mentorship and coaching as needed.
  • Consistently attend and participate in all leadership matters in a way that reflects the values and mission of Mendota Health.

Education and Experience

  • Board Certified/Prepared through AANP, ANCC, NCCPA
  • Current, unrestricted NP/PA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain license
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain state DEA licensure/Prescriptive Authority post - where applicable
  • Graduate of an accredited APP program
  • Currently holds an active APP license
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • 3+ years of clinical experience
  • Wound care experience a must
  • Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
  • Experience working in a mobile/multisite care setting

Work Environment

  • Ability to travel within St. Paul, Twin Cities assigned territory.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • At times, may be required to lift up to 15 pounds

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
