The Role at a Glance 

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Hilldrup is a transformative technology leader who is central to driving business growth, operational efficiency, and trust through technology. The CTO partners with the senior executives to define and deliver an IT strategy that supports Hilldrup’s business objectives. The CTO identifies opportunities for technology to enhance customer and employee experience, streamline operations, and create competitive advantage—leading initiatives in digital transformation, automation, data analytics, and cloud adoption.

As the security guardian, the CTO owns the information security and risk management agenda. This includes developing and executing cybersecurity strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, overseeing data governance, and leading disaster recovery and business continuity planning. The CTO instills a culture of security awareness and accountability across the organization. 

 

 

How You’ll Contribute 

Combining the traditional responsibilities of a CIO, CTO, and CISO, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business objectives. Partnering closely with executive leadership, you will identify opportunities where technology can create measurable value and support long-term organizational growth. 

 

You will be responsible for driving digital transformation, cloud adoption, and artificial intelligence implementation while ensuring reliable IT operations and best-in-class cybersecurity practices. Success in this role means positioning technology as a driver of growth, efficiency, and customer trust.
 

In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and digital platforms—ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of core applications including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and customer-facing technologies. You will champion the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency and customer and employee experience while leading vendor management and technology sourcing strategies to maximize return on investment. 

 

You will lead IT operations with a focus on governance, compliance, and operational excellence. This includes setting performance metrics, monitoring results, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing IT budgeting. Your decisions will be guided by strong business acumen and a clear understanding of how technological investments impact the organization’s bottom line. 

As a people leader, you will build and develop a high-performing IT team, foster collaboration across departments, and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be essential in driving change, encouraging professional growth, and ensuring that IT remains a trusted partner in achieving strategic goals. 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

Education/Work Experience/Certificates 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Ten plus years of progressive IT leadership experience
  • At least five years in a senior executive role

Skills 

  • Proven success in IT strategy development, enterprise system management, and digital transformation.
  • Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, data governance, and information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Data Management and Data Governance
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale budgets, contracts, and vendor partnerships.
  • Resilient, customer-focused, and collaborative, with a proven ability to drive results through influence and execution.
