Description
The Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment or systems at customer sites or company facilities. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Through significant travel, this position will ensure that the equipment provided is always maintained and in top working order.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment or systems according to specifications and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist the Product Division and Sales Department by solving field problems, clarifying customer requirements and technical product support.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a technical certificate or associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial technology is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in field service, maintenance, or equipment installation is required. Hydraulic systems experience is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- Knowledge of fluid power is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals is required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes are required.
- Strong problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively is required.
- Familiarity with hydraulic filtration systems and fluid power components is preferred.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and software is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- A valid passport is preferred.
- Certified Fluid Power – Hydraulic Specialist certification is preferred. A willingness to obtain certification is required.
Other Requirements
- Traveling (including driving) is required. Overnight travel of 2-3 nights per week is frequent.
