- Visits customers’ or potential customers’ facilities to help determine overall roof service needs on a long-term basis and assists to design programs to meet those needs
- Conducts roof top inspections of existing systems and secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements. Prepares full estimate including pictures, drawings and other description
- Prepares professional quote for roof services and presents full scope of quotation to customers
- Maintain current information about customers, facilities, operations and personnel on customer contact management system
- Assists in the collection of outstanding receivables and identifies potential problems that may delay the payment of open invoices
- Provides sales and lost business reports
- Follow up on direct mail campaigns
- Present clients with the most appropriate solutions
- Assemble proposals and reports for clients
- Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner
- Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals
- Work with Service Coordinator to understand where/how to generate additional leads and referrals
- Coordinate with the Service Department Manager to develop sales strategies and, when necessary, to close deals
- Manage the service projects won through your efforts
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned
- Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals
- 3 – 5 years sales experience in commercial roofing, construction or a related field
- Demonstrated success in sales, with a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results
- Ability to apply negotiation skills to a variety of sales situations.
- Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone
- Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust
- Solid project management skills
- Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including SharePoint and CRM
- Ability to climb ladders and walk/inspect roof
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel locally; out of the office 80% of the time
