About your new Career:
The Lewis Group of Companies, a leading developer in Northern and Southern California, is seeking a skilled and experienced Renovation Team Supervisor. This position will oversee mid-to-large-scale apartment renovation projects across our communities in the Inland Empire area.
 
As the Renovation Supervisor, you will be responsible for effectively leading a team of renovation technicians and laborers while ensuring the successful execution of renovation projects. You will leverage your hands-on expertise in various trades to maintain, upgrade, and enhance our apartment communities, thereby reinforcing Lewis' reputation as a premier development and management company.
 
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Supervise and lead renovation technicians and laborers on multiple job sites.
  • Utilize Outlook calendar to maintain work schedules and keep necessary stakeholders informed.
  • Assist with responding to work order tickets.
  • Perform hands-on work in various skilled areas including drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards and monitor for potential community liabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with direct reports, onsite teams/ Lewis employees, vendors, residents, and the public by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Manage project schedules, quality assurance, expenses, and inventory control.
  • Assist with the preparation of units for new occupancy and maintain the overall condition of the property when needed.
  • Timely completion of reports and documentation related to projects and team activities.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings and team member evaluations per company guidelines and in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance.
  • Perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting heavy objects, and working in various conditions.
Note: These responsibilities are a general summary of the job duties performed. Other duties may be required, as needed.
 
 Other requirements include:
  •  Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a renovation or Maintenance Supervisor role.
  • Strong all-around maintenance skills in the apartment industry, including experience in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Record of attention to detail and ability to maintain organization. Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move and transport heavy objects.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, walk repeatedly, and ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
NOTE:  Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. On-call may be requested occasionally.
