The role 

The Donor Care Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional donor and supporter experiences, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, donations, and communications across multiple channels. This role plays a critical part in supporter retention, satisfaction, and the delivery of meaningful engagement within the Children’s Hospital Foundation's mass fundraising programs.


Working closely with the wider Foundation team, the Donor Care Coordinator ensures timely, accurate, and supporter-centric service helping to grow a loyal base of givers, fundraisers, event participants, and advocates.


This is a permanent full-time position, based at our corporate offices in South Brisbane.

Key criteria

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing and/or communications or equivalent level of experience.
  • 2 years demonstrated experience in donor care or administrative support role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and professional phone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to handle high volume of enquiries during peak periods with composure and efficiency.
  • Competence with CRM systems (Dynamics 365) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience in a fundraising, charity, or not-for-profit environment.
  • Understanding of donor stewardship and supporter lifecycle principles.
  • Familiarity with bulk email systems (e.g. Campaign Monitor, Pardot) or digital fundraising platforms.
