Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain LAN hardware and software components.
- Diagnose, repair, assemble and upgrade LAN hardware and software.
- Establish and maintain LAN users, and their environments, directories and security.
- Monitor and adjust LAN operating environment to ensure optimum performance.
- Respond to needs/questions of network users concerning access to resources on the LAN.
- Provide training to users on LAN applications and operations.
- Provide connectivity to other outside resources or network as necessary.
- Direct on-site customer interface for installation, repair, upgrade and maintenance LAN hardware and software components.
- Maintain and establish a filing system for tracking and inventory control of hardware and software systems and equipment.
- Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures.
- Maintain liaison with outside hardware and software vendors for system upgrades and maintenance.
- Provide technical assistance and informal training in implementing network programs based on user requirements.
- Ensure LANs and PCs are working effectively and efficiently. Develop LAN operability improvements as required.
- Monitors network communications for security purposes. Upholds security by monitoring remote user interface, preventing unauthorized access to LAN, adding new users with correct security rights, and deleting obsolete users.
Required Qualifications:
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in similar
- Security+ Certification
- NET (NMCI Enterprise Tool) knowledge or familiarity
- NMCI Customer Technical Representatives (CTRs) knowledge or familiarity
- Cyber Security knowledge and certifications. CISSP, CEH, and CISM
- Active secret clearance as required by the US Government contract
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or IT Field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate). Web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, Power Fx. Microsoft 365 environment and compatibility considerations.
Working Environment:
This position is 100% in-person in Fort Meade, MD; remote or hybrid work is unavailable.
