Duties

Plans, develops, markets, and executes, innovative, needs-based social, squadron and base-wide special events and community partnership programs to support authorized users of Force Support Squadron facilities and programs. Develops programs and events based on customer input/feedback and available resources both on the installation and in the surrounding community. Develops and maintains partnerships with various external agencies, businesses, community, commercial vendors, and national organizations. Develops plans and coordinates with other agencies to execute programs, partnerships, special events, and joint undertakings to maximize resources. Assists with the development of marketing strategies, event publicity and promotions, and customer engagement strategies. Coordinates with marketing to develop annual activity program calendars, marketing and strategic plans. Captures, develops and maintains information on a variety of community programs on the installation. Creates a concierge experience to deliver beneficial and quality programs and services. Develops, monitors, and analyzes applicable statistical data such as patronage, financial trends, customer surveys and suggestions to evaluate program effectiveness and applicability to strategic goals and plan improvements. Implements and maintains an effective internal control system to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse. Prepares a community programs cost analysis prior to implementation and after-action reports for each program or event. Conducts senior leadership briefings and provides reports on status and program progress and advises of any significant developments that may impact existing or future programs. Develops APF and NAF budgets Responsible for the protection of assets and financial resources. Perform supervisory duties related to assigned FSWP facilities. Permanent and legal residents of the US must be citizens of a NATO country, unless authorized to reside in the UK as a dependent of an employee who serves in support of the US Visiting Forces. Eligible applicants must possess a US-issued social security number and be able to provide documentation proving residency status in the UK. Documentation could include PCS Orders, UK Visa, etc. Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident'. A person is considered to be 'ordinarily resident' if they have resided in the United Kingdom (UK) for more than 366 days without an affiliation to the US Visiting Forces. Time spent in the UK as an employee, or dependent of an employee, of a US agency serving and supporting the US Visiting Forces (i.e., active duty military, federal civilian, AAFES, Red Cross, one of the contract universities, a military banking facility or federal credit union, or US government contractors) is not counted toward being 'ordinary resident'. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between the US and the UK, British citizens (including UK dual citizens) may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible to apply for local national positions on base. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN RESUME): 1+ year of progressively responsible experience in event planning, program management, marketing, or community relations. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, market, and execute successful events and programs. Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to analyze data and develop reports. Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
