As an Associate Product Line Manager – Special Projects Apparel, you support in the creation of profitable global product line assortments for various special and seasonal projects, including our System A, Walk Gently, and other Energy product categories and capsules created out of our Tokyo Creation Center. Your contribution to our global product line, as assigned by the Senior Product Line Manager 1, supports in achieving our company goals, meeting our consumer needs, and focuses on brand opportunities to bring innovative solutions to market.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. This role will fluctuate across hours that support both Canada (PST) and Tokyo (JST) time zones. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet your future team:
The Product Line Management (PLM) team is responsible for determining and delivering the right product, in the right places, at the right time. In partnership with the Merchant team, PLM delivers product lines that support the overall Design creative direction, while driving company sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals, on a global scale. This high performing team works closely with the Design and Product Creation Development teams to bring the product vision to life through future seasonal line plans, and partners with the Costing and Sourcing teams on the upstream side of the product cycle.
In this role, you’ll partner closely to support our Commercial and Merchandising team and the developing product initiatives created in our Tokyo Creation Center. The Tokyo Creation Centre is a ground-up, entrepreneurial undertaking, with collective contributions accelerating our business, elevating our product and defining the next chapter of the Arc’teryx brand.
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$70,000 - CAD$88,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.

Supporting the development execution of the product line strategy for various special and seasonal projects
Contributing to the creation of product briefs that align with the category strategy, seasonal story-telling focus, and brand vision, fostering collaboration with the design and development teams
Contributing to the cross-functional product creation process from concept through to guest, through sharing your expert knowledge of product, the athlete and guest needs
Supporting to achieve and maintain key product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), design and production costs relative to the market and guest value proposition
Contributing to the management of the product lifecycle for each model, from development to commercialization, to eventual redesign, replacement or retirement
Contributing to seasonal selling plans and supporting our overall strategies (grow, diminish, hold, exist, launch) (sell thru vs sell-in)
Supporting in research and analysis of the global marketplace to identify key consumer and market insights to inform concept work and development of new products and the range
Supporting in the preparation of product presentations for key calendar touchpoints that inspire and deliver the critical information to our internal stakeholders, ensuring successful development of seasonal assets and plans
Contributing to the Innovation to Customer (I2C) calendar product knowledge and supporting on the creation of selling tools and product information for our Commercial and Brand teams
Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

Are you our next Associate Product Line Manager – Special Projects?
You have 3+ years of experience in outdoor retail or customer service, merchandising, product development, wholesale, and/or retail buying roles
You have strong knowledge of sell through, calculating cost of goods, and the open to buy process
You are an effective communicator with strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
You effectively manage your time, and you possess strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
You have strong leadership and teamwork skills, you are solution-oriented, and you are able to facilitate work across many different internal departments
You have a strong understanding of global market trends that drive the active apparel market and the key outdoor activities we make product for
You have an excellent understanding of the design and development process
You excel in the use of Microsoft Office tools (especially PowerPoint and Excel), and you are comfortable navigating PLM systems
You are willing and able to travel as required (likely travelling 2x/year to Tokyo)
You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
You are highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
