Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience and an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance. This role involves leading the design, development, and enhancement of complex software systems, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will function as a technical expert across multiple projects, contributing to strategic planning and mentoring junior team members. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced software applications and systems.
• Lead major software engineering efforts and provide technical direction across multiple projects.
• Evaluate software performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture.
• Ensure software solutions meet security, performance, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
• Plan and lead high-impact technology assignments and initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and developers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Required Qualifications: 

• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience. In lieu of experience, relevant certifications or demonstrable project work may be considered.
• Proven expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical teams on complex assignments.

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience with Agile or DevSecOps environments.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Leadership experience in technical project management or team supervision.
