Job purpose
Manage and support the on-premise sales team in pursuit of the company revenue goals.
Duties and responsibilities
- Continuously lead revenue generation
- Achieve profit goals, utilizing stop-management and phasing
- Manage sales plan and assigned team(s)
- Communicate goals and directives
- Track daily progress toward sales goals, tasks and assignments
- Work with other departments to accomplish necessary tasks within assigned market(s)
- Effectively delegate goals and tasks among the assigned territories and teams
- Coordinate sales meetings across the market territories
- Organize and lead On-Premise sales meetings
- Foster good working relationships with key accounts
- Manage and improve employee effectiveness in market penetration
- Mediate and resolve sales representative and customer issues
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Must be 21 or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Outstanding Verbal & Written Communication Skills
- Ability to multi-task with minimal errors
- Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of safe work practices
PREFERRED
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous sales or merchandising experience
- Intimate knowledge of wine, beer, and the Tryon Portfolio
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience using ERP systems (Encompass highly preferred)
Working conditions
This position requires one’s use of personal vehicle to call on customers. No overnight travel is necessary however approximately 2 evening shifts will be required per week.
