Job purpose

 

Manage and support the on-premise sales team in pursuit of the company revenue goals. 

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Continuously lead revenue generation
  • Achieve profit goals, utilizing stop-management and phasing
  • Manage sales plan and assigned team(s)
  • Communicate goals and directives
  • Track daily progress toward sales goals, tasks and assignments
  • Work with other departments to accomplish necessary tasks within assigned market(s)
  • Effectively delegate goals and tasks among the assigned territories and teams
  • Coordinate sales meetings across the market territories
  • Organize and lead On-Premise sales meetings
  • Foster good working relationships with key accounts
  • Manage and improve employee effectiveness in market penetration
  • Mediate and resolve sales representative and customer issues

 

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Outstanding Verbal & Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to multi-task with minimal errors
  • Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of safe work practices

 

PREFERRED

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous sales or merchandising experience
  • Intimate knowledge of wine, beer, and the Tryon Portfolio
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience using ERP systems (Encompass highly preferred)

Working conditions

 

This position requires one’s use of personal vehicle to call on customers.  No overnight travel is necessary however approximately 2 evening shifts will be required per week.
