About the role:

The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join its Catering and Conference Services team as a Conference Services Manager. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about providing a memorable and unparalleled guest experience for our group sales clients.

What you will do:

  • Sell and service group and catering events for the hotel.

  • Work cohesively with the Banquet and Food & Beverage team to deliver seamless service.

  • Drive revenue and exceed goals through upsells in Banquets food& beverage and Spa revenues to assigned groups

  • Forecast food & beverage events from assigned groups

  • Provide excellent customer service and exceed customer expectations

  • Manage and lead follow up on rooms and food & beverage attrition

  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with clients, understanding their needs and working with them through execution of their event

  • Manage all aspects of events, including the room setup, catering, and other special requests

  • Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless service delivery

  • Oversee the execution of event, troubleshooting any issues that may arise

  • Maintain budgets, communicating to clients about estimated expenses

  • Prepare and distribute event documents, such as Banquet Event Orders, Diagrams, Resume, Budget Estimates, and post-event reports

  • Lead Planning Site Visits

What you bring:

  • At least 3 years of management experience within Catering or Conference Services is required

  • Bachelors Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business or similar discipline preferred

  • Salesforces/Delphi experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Attention to detail

  • Display exception negotiation and upselling skills

  • Ability to organize and to proficiently read, write and communicate in English.

  • Have basic knowledge in technology including audio and visual equipment.

Schedule & Hours

  • This position is full-time. Candidates must be able to to work irregular schedules that cater to the group needs and requirements. This includes mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
