The Technical Delivery Manager will drive the end-to-end planning and implementation of prioritised technical roadmap initiatives. This will support guiding efficiency, data accuracy and improved employee experience. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and integrated solutions that align with our customer's strategic objectives. Act as a bridge between the business team and technical delivery for managing technical outcomes for the new strategic changes and optimisation of current applications in the operations of Serve ADS.

Please note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's Dublin office at least once per week.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a valid project management certification, and experience in Information Technology or Business Administration
  • Proven experience in leading large transformation projects, preferably in a large organisation, spearheading complex changes
  • Agile project delivery and SAFe framework, technical project management. Good knowledge of development, architecture and testing/release processes
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels and adapt the message based on audience needs. Technical to non-technical transition to stakeholders in order to drive updates and decisions needed
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering useful and innovative solutions
  • Experience in change management is an advantage to have the end-to-end mindset to support the successful system adoption and retirement of legacy systems, processes and where applicable, 3rd party vendors

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Lead required strategic outcomes from the technical delivery scope of responsibility for the project, including planning, execution of the technical delivery elements, reporting and retiring of legacy applications
  • Collaborate across the Tech Delivery to ensure that the governance processes are adhered to and the right links are built across the other ADSs to make sure all interdependencies are factored into the planning cycles. Produce the required Tech delivery project tracking documentation and information for SteerCo as required
  • Closely collaborate with the Architecture, Portfolio Lead, QA resources, and other tech leads to ensure that items on the technical backlog shift to now/next status for the next planning event. Manage the roadmap with a focus on guiding alignment with the strategic objectives of the business requirements and priorities
  • Strategic mindset – to proficiently manage incremental project decisions with a view of the overall desired business outcome of change
  • Regularly liaise with all parties involved to identify improvement areas throughout the overall change and release cycle
  • Understand cross-team dependencies and drive towards resolution, providing feedback on any conflicts or challenges to the teams for prioritisation decisions. Foster collaboration and communication across teams and other ADS groups to ensure alignment and tackle dependencies successfully to maintain overall timelines
  • Oversee the preparation, design, and deployment of changes, ensuring they meet business requirements and integrate with existing systems. Ensure that the right level of testing is complete from tech and business user side
  • Flag process improvements gaps where it is evident that technical changes are going to impact business processes, reduce manual workloads, and improve data accuracy where opportunities are observed
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Where required, ensure the right level of system performance monitoring is planned into the requirements to support the right level of continuity tied to the overall change strategy
  • Actively manage the tech-related risk items: new inputs and backlog on the register to mitigate challenges ahead of delivery and key milestones. Communicate progress and challenges as needed to management and the overall programme lead
  • Leverage both AI and Automation in the tech Delivery cycles and also highlight where this technology could further enhance the roadmap planned changes
  • Oversight and accountability through collaboration with Product owners, Portfolio & Delivery managers. Ensure all relevant stakeholders' input to the assessment and that agreed criteria are met for progressing/rejecting work. Tracking overall progress and associated spend tied to the successful migration
  • Collaborate with the required team members to address issues with teamwork and delivery. Quickly find solutions or temporary measures to keep the business operating successfully during product launches
