Position summary

Reporting to the Electronic Health Record Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day administration of Jigsaw’s Electronic Health Record (EHR), and other data systems used by the Research & Evaluation team. This position requires a motivated person with attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to structure their work independently to complete agreed deliverables and maintain high standards of data quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Administrating Jigsaw’s Electronic Health Record system, including making agreed changes, providing support to staff, and raising queries with the system provider. 
    • Monitoring of Jigsaw’s service data to maintain high standards of data quality. This will include management of the Jigsaw Minimum Dataset, documenting changes, auditing key system activity, and identifying errors in data entry. 
    • Supporting with the development of high-quality training and communication materials for Jigsaw staff, ensuring standardisation and best practice in system use across all Jigsaw services. 
    • Supporting the development of a new Client Portal for young people engaging with Jigsaw. This will include consultations with young people and other relevant stakeholders, testing of new features and reviewing of documentation from the provider. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Attending meetings with the Research & Evaluation team and the EHR team, contributing to discussions and taking notes as required.  
    • Contributing towards the preparation of materials for internal and external dissemination, including academic papers, research bulletins, presentations, and social media posts.  

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in any relevant field 
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in approach to problems and tasks 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate and work with a range of professionals from broad backgrounds 
  • Passionate about young people, their mental health, and achieving change in Irish society. 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Postgraduate qualification in any field 
  • Knowledge of data protection principles and legislation 
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting and analytics packages (Power BI, Tableau, SQL server reporting service) 
  • Previous experience using data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata) 
  • Experience generating content for dissemination (e.g. webpages, blogs, social media, academic publications etc.) 
  • Experience of working with young people (in a research context), and in particular of involving young people in research 
  • Full, clean driving licence and access to a car 

 

Benefits

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Factors taken into account in determining an appropriate scale include the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the job.

The salary range for this role will be €26,000 - €38,480.
