- planning and implementing the objectives of the Industrial Refrigeration Department

Required Qualifications
- be at least 18 years old
- have three years’ experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration
- not have an unacceptable drug test result on a Publix or company-sponsored drug test within the previous 12 months
- successfully pass a battery of written tests and a structured interview
- be able to work the required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
- have working knowledge of all processes and related equipment
- have strong analytical, problem solving, trouble-shooting and hands-on technical skills
- have good presentation skills and the ability to develop training material
- have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems, utilities, and energy management (including preventative maintenance, systems and procedures)
- have knowledge of programmable logic control and computer automation theories, software and hardware
- have good computer skills, proficiency in MS Windows, Word and Excel
- be able to read, make and change schematic diagrams, equipment and architectural drawings
- be able to examine and interpret information from different sources to develop a course of action
- be able to effectively convey information to coworkers, supervisors, associates, customers or outside agencies
- be a positive role model
- have the ability to work well with others and be a team member
- show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and
- show commitment to Publix’s mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- have experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration management
- RETA (Refrigeration Engineers Technician Association) certification.
